## Asana now works inside your workflows: automate your project management

We are delighted to announce an integration many of you have been waiting for. You can now connect Asana directly to your workflows in Futuria CRM, removing the need to use third-party tools such as Zapier or Make.

That means you can create tasks, update projects and sync work between Futuria CRM and Asana natively, quickly and at no extra cost. Let's look at how this update can transform your day-to-day operations.

## What's new?

The integration introduces a complete set of triggers and actions that let you build powerful, two-way automations between the two platforms.

### New triggers: from Asana to Futuria CRM

The triggers are instant, which means your workflow in Futuria CRM will fire at the exact moment an event happens in Asana. No more delays.

- **Task created (instant):** fires when a new task is created.
- **Task updated (instant):** fires when a task is edited (status, fields and so on).
- **Project created (instant):** fires when a new project is created.
- **Comment on a task (instant):** fires when someone adds a comment.
- **New user:** fires when a new user joins your Asana workspace.
- **Task moved to a section (instant):** fires when a task changes section.
- **New attachment added (instant):** fires when a file is uploaded to a task.
- **Tag added to a task (coming soon):** will fire when a tag is linked to a task.
- **New subtask (coming soon):** will fire when a subtask is created.

### New actions: from Futuria CRM to Asana

You can also use Futuria CRM workflows to manage and create items directly in your Asana account.

- **Create task:** add new tasks with a name, details, due date and assignee.
- **Update task:** edit the fields of an existing task.
- **Find task by ID:** look up a specific task through its Asana ID.
- **Find task:** search for tasks by name.
- **Create section:** add a new section to an Asana project.
- **Add task to a section:** move an existing task into a specific section.
- **Create comment/story:** add comments or internal notes to a task.
- **Create subtask:** add subtasks to a parent task.
- **Create project:** generate new projects in Asana programmatically.
- **Find all the tasks in a project:** retrieve a list of every task inside a project.
- **Find task in a project:** locate a specific task inside a project.
- **Find comment from a task:** retrieve the comments linked to a task.
- **Find comment by task ID:** get the comments using the task ID.

## A practical example: from new lead to project management

Imagine you run a marketing agency. A prospective customer fills in a contact form on your website, built with Futuria CRM.

Here is how automation can simplify the process:

1. The submitted form triggers a workflow in Futuria CRM.
2. The system automatically creates a new contact and an opportunity in the sales pipeline.
3. Straight afterwards, the workflow uses the new **“Create task”** action for Asana.
4. A task is created in the “New Leads” project in Asana, assigned to the right sales manager. The task name contains the lead's name and the details submitted through the form are added to the description. A due date is set for the following day.

The result? The sales team gets an immediate notification in their own project management tool, with all the information they need to act quickly, without anyone having to enter data manually. No lead gets forgotten again.

## How to connect Asana

Switching the integration on is very simple. You can do it in two ways:

**From the workflow builder:**

1. Inside a workflow, add a new trigger or a new action.
2. Search for “Asana” in the list.
3. Select the option you want and click “Connect”.
4. Sign in with your Asana account to authorise the connection.

**From the settings:**

You can also connect your account in advance by going to **Settings > Integrations** and looking for Asana in the list.

## Important notes

- All the Asana triggers are instant and use real-time webhooks, making sure your automations run with no delay whatsoever.
- The integration works with both the free and the paid Asana plans. Some advanced features may, however, require a paid Asana plan.
- **Tip:** when you use the “Task updated” trigger, we recommend using filters to specify which field changes should fire the workflow. This will stop multiple or cascading updates from triggering unnecessary automations.
