## What's new? You can now delete posts from the social networks too

We haven't simply added a delete button. We have made it possible to remove published content directly from the social network, without ever leaving the Social Planner. ✨

Whether it's a typo, an out-of-date detail or a post published by mistake, you can now **delete posts straight from the Social Planner** and, where supported, remove them from the social platform at the same time.

No more switching between tabs or signing in to several social networks. You get a single place to manage the entire lifecycle of your content.

### Delete published posts from the social networks

When you delete a post, you will see a new option that lets you choose whether to delete it only from the Social Planner or **from the destination social network as well** (such as Facebook, LinkedIn and so on).

### It works across several platforms

Native deletion is supported for: **Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky and Community**.

For platforms that do not allow deletion by third parties (such as Instagram and TikTok), posts can still be removed from the Social Planner, but they will remain visible on the social platform.

### Delete posts in any status

The same deletion procedure works for every type of post: **drafts, scheduled posts and posts already published**. Whether a piece of content is planned or already live, you can manage it with a single workflow.

### Built-in reconnection flow

If the connected social account has expired or been disconnected, a notice appears automatically. You can **reconnect the account without leaving the page** and carry on with the deletion once access is restored.

### A consistent experience everywhere

The deletion flow is available both in the **List view** and in the **Calendar view** of the Social Planner.

## How to use this feature

- Go to Marketing → Social Planner
- Find the post you want to delete
- Open the three-dot menu

- Click Delete
- (Optional) Turn on the option to delete the post from the selected social platform as well
- Confirm the deletion

If the account needs to be reconnected, follow the on-screen instructions and carry on with the process.

## Why it matters

- **Quickly remove** content that is wrong or no longer current.
- Handle post removal **without having to switch platform**.
- Keep content management **centralised in the Social Planner**.
- Make sure "delete" really means delete, wherever the platform APIs allow it.

## Notes

- Native deletion on the platform depends on the support offered by the social network's APIs.
- Instagram and TikTok currently do not allow third-party applications to delete posts.
- On unsupported platforms, posts can still be removed from the Social Planner view.
- Prompts to reconnect the account appear automatically when access expires.
