New: generate PDF documents from every response

Collecting responses is great, but having them immediately available as professional, printable documents is even better. We have introduced a new setting, Generate submission document, which automatically creates and files PDF copies of every response you receive.

What's new

A new Generate submission document toggle is now available in the Settings panel for:

• Forms
• Surveys
• Quizzes

When it is on, every new response automatically generates a nicely formatted PDF document.

Key features

1. Automatically generates a printable PDF for every response.
2. Includes every question and the answers submitted.
3. Captures the submission metadata, including:

• Submission date and time
• Contact details

1. Automatically files the document in:

• Contacts → Documents → Forms
• Contacts → Documents → Surveys
• Contacts → Documents → Quizzes

1. Automatically links the document to the contact who submitted the response.
2. PDFs can be viewed, downloaded and used throughout the CRM.
3. Fully supported on both desktop and mobile.

How it works

• Open the settings of a form, a survey or a quiz.
• Turn on the Generate submission document option.

• Every new response automatically generates and files a PDF document.
• You can open the document at any time from the contact's Documents section, or use it in the workflows the CRM supports.

• If the toggle is off, no PDF document is generated.

PDF naming convention

The documents generated follow consistent naming formats:

• Forms and Surveys: [FormName]_[ContactName]_[YYYY-MM-DD_HHMM]
• Quizzes: Result_[QuizName]_[ContactName]_[YYYY-MM-DD_HHMM]

Notes

1. PDF generation is optional and can be turned on for each individual form, survey or quiz.
2. Documents are organised automatically into their respective folders (Forms, Surveys or Quizzes).
3. Responses received previously are not affected; only new responses generate documents once the setting is turned on.
