What is the Kanban view in Opportunities?
The Kanban view in Futuria CRM Opportunities gives your team a visual way to manage deals across the various stages of the sales pipeline. It helps you scan active opportunities quickly, customise how the stages look and sort records by the data that matters most.
This view is particularly useful when you want a stage-based workflow that is easier to read than a traditional table. Futuria CRM also saves some layout preferences in your browser, so your workspace stays tailored to the way you manage your pipeline.
Key benefits of the Kanban view
The Kanban view helps teams stay visually organised while managing opportunities in a way that mirrors the natural flow of a sales pipeline. These benefits are especially useful for people who prefer working by stage rather than analysing a table.
- Visual pipeline management: view opportunities by stage to understand deal progress at a glance.
- A tidier workspace: shrink inactive stages and resize columns to remove clutter and give prominence to the parts of the pipeline that need attention.
- Faster prioritisation: sort opportunities by default fields or supported custom fields, so high-priority records are easier to review.
- Personalised layout: save your preferred column layout in your browser without changing the view for other users.
- Flexible workflow: switch between the Kanban view and the List view depending on whether you need a visual board or a more detailed table experience.
Collapsing or expanding stages
Collapsing and expanding stages makes complex pipelines easier to manage by reducing visual clutter. This is particularly handy when some stages are rarely used, or when your team wants to focus only on the active parts of the pipeline.
- Open Opportunities and make sure you are in the Kanban view.
- Find the stage column you want to change.
- Click the control in the stage header to collapse or expand that column.
Collapsed stages help keep the board tidy, while expanded ones make it easier to review a larger volume of opportunities in a specific part of the pipeline.

Resizing the stage columns
Resizing columns lets you give more screen space to the stages that matter most. This can make it simpler to monitor your busiest stages and help your team review opportunity cards without opening them one by one.
- In the Kanban view, hover over the edge of a stage column.
- Drag the divider left or right to resize the column.
- Repeat for any other stages you want to change.
- Double-click the column divider to restore the stage's default size.
Wider columns are useful for busier stages, while narrower ones help reduce clutter in stages that need less attention.

Sorting opportunities
Sorting gives users a faster way to prioritise opportunity cards by timing, value or business-specific data. It is especially useful when teams need to focus first on the most recent, most urgent or highest-value records.
- In Opportunities, click Sort at the top of the page.

- Select the field you want to sort by. You can choose between default fields and supported custom fields.
- Choose Ascending or Descending order.
- Your opportunities will reorder automatically according to your selection.

The supported sorting fields include:
- Default fields such as Created date and Last updated.
- Supported custom field types such as Single line, Multi-line text, Drop-down menu, Radio select, Number, Currency, Phone and Date.
Saving your layout preferences
- Collapsed and expanded stages are saved automatically.
- Resized column widths are saved automatically too.
- These preferences are stored locally in your browser.
- Your changes apply only to your own view and do not affect other users.

Tips for using the Kanban view
A few simple workflow habits can make the Kanban view far more effective for day-to-day pipeline management. These tips help users keep the board readable, practical and aligned with the way they actually review deals.
- Collapse inactive or rarely used stages to reduce clutter.
- Expand and widen active stages so that important opportunity cards are easier to scan.
- Use sorting to bring high-priority or recently updated opportunities to the top.
- Switch to the List view when you need a more detailed row-based review or column-style organisation.
