What is Stripe payment method management?

Stripe payment method management lets you configure which payment options (such as credit cards, wallets and bank debits) are available across the various areas of Futuria CRM, straight from your account.

This removes the need to manage payment methods separately in the Stripe dashboard, streamlining your operations and improving control over your configuration.

Key benefits of managing Stripe payment methods

Understanding the benefits of managing Stripe payment methods directly in Futuria CRM helps you get the most out of this feature.

  • Centralised control: manage all your Stripe payment options without leaving Futuria CRM.
  • Separate live and test modes: customise payment methods individually for the live and test environments.
  • Checkout-specific visibility: only the available payment methods will be shown in the options for each checkout.
  • Subscription-specific settings: manage unique payment configurations designed specifically for subscriptions.
  • Less reliance on the Stripe dashboard: you no longer need to edit payment methods in Stripe.
  • Smooth user experience: a simplified configuration means faster set-up for invoices, funnels, forms and stores.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Stripe's transaction fees?

Stripe's transaction fees vary depending on your country and the type of payment method used. Generally, Stripe charges a percentage of each transaction plus a fixed fee. Because pricing varies by region, you should always refer to the official Stripe pricing page for the most accurate and up-to-date details.

Why can't I see the Subscriptions list in Futuria CRM?

The Subscriptions list only becomes available once you have added at least one subscription product in Live Mode within the relevant account. This requirement comes directly from Stripe.

What happens if I have already configured payment methods in Stripe?

Your existing settings are preserved. The default payment methods for areas or checkouts will match your original Stripe configuration, unless you update them within Futuria CRM.

Will Live and Test modes have separate settings?

Yes. You can configure payment methods independently for the Live and Test environments, giving you full flexibility during development and in production.

Do these changes apply to all accounts?

No, each account connected to Stripe has to configure its own payment methods individually in the Payments settings.

The checkout doesn't show BLIK, even though it is active in Stripe. How can I enable it?

BLIK will not appear in our current integration. Stripe determines which payment methods to show at checkout based on the configuration of the connected account and on the context.

BLIK is not supported in this flow because it requires immediate confirmation of the PaymentIntent, which is not compatible with our deferred payment flow. We have no plans to change this configuration at present, but we review payment method coverage with Stripe regularly to support current use cases.
